Saipem keeping 2,000 workers at home due to deadly coronavirus

Italian oil and gas contractor Saipem has confirmed that more than 2,000 staff are working from home due to the coronavirus.
Around 2,196 employees, many whom are based in the firms headquarters in Milan, are under what Saipem called smart working.

Just talked with my friend in Japan, and it looks like they are going to allow contractors (which this person is) to work from home soon. Last week it was just NTT employees - contractors still had to report to work but could opt for staggered start times.
