MERS 34%
Swine Flu 0.02%
My brother in chemo got MERS and it killed I\him in a week.

Interestingly AIDS/HIV mortality rate is 1.7% (CDC)

Rush is wrong but the lethality of this one is not as high as SARS and MERS, and they have been controlled. I think the problem with this one it can be transmitted by people without symptoms. Therefore it’s hard to control.

MERS and SARS are not technically influenza. Corona is ACTUALLY another SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) variant. It is actually only the 2nd time that this virus variant has jumped to humans which is why it's so concerning. Nobody knows what it will do.
