Your Answer: Despite being as Fascist as Bernie’s supporters are, the networks know that Bernie will be clobbered, if he’s the nominee. They also know that the entire Democrat Party will be clobbered, if Bernie gets removed by the party, if Bernie gets the most votes and/or delegates.
So the only choice to prevent a disaster is to have Bernie lose, but leave his supporters thinking that it wasn’t rigged against him - hence their support of Bloomberg (because everyone else is circular firing squad). But the clock has pretty much run out on that option, with Bernie pulling away...so it’s all terrible news for them.
This is exactly how I’m seeing it.
But you think time has run out on the RATs now that NV went to Bernie? They might have a little more time to give Bernie a better offer he can’t refuse...?
It’s a given that Trump will win. Therefore, the Dems are probably looking for the best lemonade here, and despite their squawking, I think Sanders is their best choice and they know it. Running a complete socialist for president lends respectability to the socialist movement. It’ll now be taken seriously as it never was before. Sanders will do what Norman Thomas failed to do, because he’s doing it on the major party ticket.
After all, the electorate is increasingly composed of people indoctrinated into left wing ideology. Sanders is going to normalize it for the first time, but after he loses, there will be more of them.
A generation ago, who’d have imagined so many muslims in government? Two generations ago...so many homosexuals. Now the socialists are stepping up. The so-called moderates in the Dem party are afraid to disagree — witness their stands on health care for illegals and numerous other outrageous positions.
Brace yourselves. Sanders is just the camel’s nose. The Dems are only unhappy about Trump winning, and probably taking the House and Senate along with him.
