Sounds like what I do on my MacBook Pro: Put a bunch of images (like big "Q"s) into a folder, and set that folder to "feed" my screensaver.
(My favorite screensaver is a folder of spectacular Hubble Telescope images from APOD). I just flick my cursor into my designated "hot corner" of the screen -- and, Voila! -- instant slideshow...
I often get the "intro slide" of a presentation running -- and then turn on the "Hubble screensaver" to keep the audience entertained until I'm ready to start -- by just touching the keyboard. The Hubble images are so beautifully spectacular that I've actually had a couple of audiences mutter, "Awwww..." when I start the presentation! '-)
ThanQ!! You've just given me the idea of making a "Big 'Q' screenholder" for the start of my upcoming "Q Update" presentation to our local Patriots group!
(See what you started, Melian!?!) '-}
