I could never understand why people would purchase water in plastic bottles when they have fresh water running from their faucets at home.......

Apparently you've never lived in a place where the tap water reeks of chemicals and tastes worse.

The way the empty bottles are just discarded on the ground, there should be a deposit on them like beer cans and bottles.

There is in CA and OR.
