I remember when they were called stock cars
Yup, I've been drifting away since they started with the "Car of Tomorrow" crap. They've ruined all the RnD that goes into these cars from the companies. There are so many restrictions and regulations that every car is now physically the same. A Ford, Chevy, Toyota, etc. NASCAR vehicle are impossible to tell apart. Every bolt is the same size in the same spot. Every pipe comes from the same place and goes to the same place. The only restrictions they should have is overall size, engine compartment size, and safety requirements. Let the manufacturers ave fun with the rest!

That was the theory behind the old IROC series. Get a bunch of top drivers and put them in identical Camaros. Race em and see how they do. As we know it didn’t last.
