Many years ago the Christian corps promoted legislation to prohibit homosexuals from asking for special protections in various legal actions. It became law, but was later thrown out because you could not prohibit somebody from asking for something. I think the Tebedo family was at the center of this IIRC.

That excited the homo movement, they started organizing people to move to COS to combat the groups like Focus on the Family and the Air Force Academy conservatives. Now COS is a mix of military and religious on one side, and the tatted/pierced perv liberals on the other, ones who make most of the SoCalifornia crowd look tame in comparison.

I watched the change when I lived there. Now, in my visits, I am amazed at the drift away from normal. It’s a crazy mix there. This mayoral candidate doesn’t surprise me. Watch how the Colorado Springs Independent treats her.
