check the text you copied in or wrote in and look for
a group of symbols like (^($)&_)^
or little squares
remove them and the text is cleared and formatted
... alternatively, you could use an online html cleaner tool, like this one:
Just paste your html, click clean and you’re good.

That’s good for symbols that show, but some symbols are not displayed when copying from a document that was formatted (e.g., a webpage). From the poster’s perspective - you copy something from WORD or the web and you paste it - it looks fine until you post or preview it and you can’t see the HTML code to remove it.
