[Gay State Conservative]

My late aunt..my Dad's older sister...was a devout Catholic.Went to Mass every day until age made that extremely difficult.She was a good decent woman who lived well into her 90s.We had discussions...arguments actually...about politics. I explained to her how evil the Rats were,how they hold in contempt everything she believes and stands for.

On one occasion,confused and frustrated by her refusal to consider what I was saying I asked her "OK,why *do* you vote for Rats? Her very simple answer was "because they give me my Social Security".

We never talked politics again.I know that she couldn't hear a word I say.
