What utter nonsense from people like that who essentially try to rewrite history. I went to Mount Vernon last May and found all topics to be sensitively and respectfully handled and treated, including Washington’s views on slavery.

Isn’t it an amazing place to visit?

We were able to go upstairs to Martha’s room (where she lived, in the months before passing).

The view from the back of the home, of the Patomac River, is breathtaking.

They really dig for dirt on our founding fathers, but don’t seem to have the slightest interest in digging deep on current Rat politicians like Obama,Clinton. Etc.

So far as I know, Washington freed his slaves when he died, but did not have, or feel he had, the right to free his wife’s slaves for her or HER heirs.
