Well the Officers of the Continental Army were not. They were sufficiently devoted to George Washington to name him first President General of the Society of the Cincinnati on June 19, 1783, in Newburgh, New York, and to reelect him to this office at each General Meeting of the Society until his death in 1799.
The Officers of the Continental Army respected Washington sufficiently to honor him as successor to Cincinnatus.
Furthermore, the American People honored him by naming the Capital of the USA Washington, naming a state for him, and honoring him as the Father of the Country.
Obviously, few people--if any!--were "done with him."
