The US Navy has already told us there is something there, there with the release of the USS Nimitz/USS Roosevelt video’s. They never mentioned aliens but simply said this is unidentifiable and it clearly did things which would kill a human pilot. Are they extraterrestria, inter-dimensional, who knows but we have been told something is there.

The anonymous high-placed official became quite somber when asked the question from the "Babylon Bee" in its interview of him, "Can you confirm reports that America has engaged in communication with intelligent extraterrestrial life?"
This was in regard to a rumor that had been thought to have unnamed high-placed official #234 as its unconfirmed source, but until now the anonymous high-placed official (AHPO) here had been able to escape being directly asked about it.
He knew that this question was not mentioned in the summation of questions the Bee was expected to ask, but how could he avoid answering it now that he was faced with it, without endangering the nations security? Or that of the major networks, considering the identify of so many persons employed by them?
So he decided that the best approach would first be a direct answer, which was, "Yes, we have indeed a confirmed contact, although I am limited on how much I can reveal about it, in keeping with my usual reticence about such unsourced matters from anAHPO."
The interview then proceeded:
Bee: "Well, could tell us if this was the ETs first transmission?"
"No, there were previous messages to the government, however they were mistakenly sent to a private server, stored, deleted, and then recovered after a FOI request by you-know-who."
Bee: "Whose server and whose FOI request?"
"I am sorry, both are classified. File a FOI and see how you do."
Bee: "Could you tell us then when the transmissions from the aliens first began?"
You need to be careful about your language son, as the the ET's - not aliens - have become quote politically savvy after all these years of eaves dropping on our private as well as public communications. But as far as we can tell this began around 1947.
Bee: "Private communications?"
That's right, you see beginning about the late 1950's then for years they had been receiving UHF broadcasts, you know, from cartoons to "The Lone Ranger" and that sort of thing - along with commercials. But being a highly advanced race then they strongly suspected that these broadcasts did not really accurately represent the reality of life here."
"Moreover, they wanted to keep their presence here rather hidden (after a ET drone ship was reported in 1947 the ETs developed a means of preventing any clear photographs of them). Therefore they developed a means of tapping into and transmitting all telephone communication, wired and then also wireless."
Bee: "That is astounding. Was this world-wide?"
Apparently yes, however they preferred the communication of the West since phones were most abundant and communication unrestricted. In contrast, they wondered if inhabitants of the USSR were clones, except for a few humans who expressed Western ideals but who seemed to have very short communication lives.
Bee: "So what is the purpose and the status of all this?"
"Well, it seems that that the ET's have a use for this (excuse me while i answer my phone: Yes Mr. unnamed high-placed official. You say I have told them too much already? No, I did not mention Hil..I mean she-who-cannot-be-named. And if you want to tell the ETs they need to apply for a license from the FCC then go ahead. It's your dime so to speak. And what about the DRM? You think that applies to ETs? OK. I promise to be careful. Bye.) Where were we?"
Bee: The purpose and the status..."
Ah yes, well the purpose, well, let's just say that they are waiting until the next election turns out.
Bee: "The next election? We thought the Russians were going to hacking one side or the other. "
"No one asked who was hacking the Russians."
Bee: "So what about the status of the ET eves dropping?"
"Well, everything was going good for them via the phone tap and fly-bys, finding more and more about us, and they even were able to obtain their own top secret phone number. They had also compiled somewhat of a collection on favorite callers (but with whom they would never communicate with)."
However, despite our very high opinion of ourselves, their concluded that we were very technologically backward. Until that is, one day they received a actual phone call from us?
Bee: "How was that possible since their number was keep top secret by a highly advanced civilization and who was it from?"
The answer to the former is due to the latter. The phone call was from one "Rachel.."
Bee: "Rachel Maddow?"
No, no, I understand your concern about competitive edge, but you are clearly outclassed here. The Rachel was from a very well known company (of sorts) called "Card Holder Services," which somehow had obtained their top-secret, classified phone number, and repeatedly called them offering to reduce their debt.
Bee: "How did the ET's respond to them?"
"They were astounded that not only could an entity on this planet obtain their phone number, but that these humans knew that they were in debt."
Bee: "In debt?"
Yes, to the intergalactic bank.
