AMC never plays III. I have the complete set and I, personally, love III and not just because of Q. It IS a great story. People say Francis’ daughter’s acting ruined it but that simply not possible. People were really mad at how it turned out because they envisioned something else entirely going into it. IMHO.

I’ll have to revisit Godfather III, especially in light of Q. I’m one of those people you’re referring to who were disappointed with it when it first came out. I felt at the time, and still do to some extent, that Godfather II was a better ‘ending’ to the story, and that watching Godfather III lessens its impact when viewing all three chronologically. But as a stand alone movie, it is good, and has much relevance to events of the day - more than I could have imagined when I first saw it.
