Perhaps. But I think the question is of interest to readers of Q, who presumably knows the name of the CIA OP and might have tipped us off (doing so in the usual cryptic way that does not violate the law).

If there is a trial of Brennan in the future, it may oome out then.

Incidentally, I think the "Insurance policy" was the FISA app itself, giving them some sort of "Legal" cover (they hoped) for their actions in case she didn't win.

That is what I did not understand about this. The CIA cannot have any cover, they are forbidden by law from operating in the US.

I know that is conveniently forgotten at times when it is necessary.

However, this operation was conducted against the United States Government and as such is treason.

There is never legal cover for such a crime.

Or am I being to idealistic in my opinion of all this?
