The first 2 novels in the series are available for free download at Baen.com. Lots of cool implications in the 1632 universe.

This is a late comment on this thread, but I wanted to thank you for mentioning it. I had never heard of this series, despite the genre being right in my wheelhouse.

I’ve been consuming it and enjoying it, and there’s a ton of books to deal with. Glorious! The authors really do a good job of dealing with all the technological and political problems that would crop up if this event really happened. Very few cheap shortcuts in storytelling. It’s really good.
