Well, that is an interesting take and you are the only one I am aware of that believes it is about the evil of those who hate capitalism.

Everyone I know who has watched the movie and every commentary I have read on it believes it to be about class. Notice how the lady of the house is a complete light weight ditz and completely shallow?

I think Parasite depicted how Asians see classes as they are extremely class oriented societies in every sphere of their life.

It’s also how Hollywood celebrities live in their bubble.....which is why they celebrated the movie.

The parasites are people who have failed at capitalism, then used it to destroy their targets. Do you think their actions were evil? They lied and manipulated other people and betrayed their trust! How can anybody dismiss those actions and say its about a class struggle?

Stop and think here. Deceit is being ignored by the movie reviewers while they offer the opinion that its about a class struggle? No surprise to me.

Obviously, I disagree with your friends, or whatever they are. I'm not succumbing to groupthink. The wife ended up trusting evil people because trust had worked for her for many years; nobody in her experiences were evil people. There's a lesson there for all of us, not a criticism of her.

Now, look at the same behavior in politics. Which party uses trust to betray our nation? Whom should we trust?
