>>> 155 mbps download. The next test was 89 mbps download.
Using Xfinity(Comcast) speed test just now, it shows 359 mbps download. 2nd test was 266 mbps
When variation is so much, it means packet loss. It means your router box is a problem. From Comcast, you can get new one which I am using https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/modems-and-routers xFi Gateway

athanx.
I’d rather own than rent but I’ll keep it mind.
I wish Comcast would let us buy the DTAs for my TVs.
I reduced the MTU so the packets aren’t fragmented.
I have had that variation in speed since time immemorial.
I ordered a router.
My system building days are done. I don’t need a liquid cooled, laser light show, blow your doors off system anymore.
I now go cheap as I can.
The kicker is, my router is brand new to me. My modem is newer.
There are 3 other people that I know of that are having the same problem with FR that started around the same time as me.
I can’t help but think this has to do with some MS update I got on 02/24 or 02/25.
I’ll figure it out. I just don’t think it’s hardware related. But who knows...
