Oh yeah!
I rode one bull, or maybe I should say that I held onto one bull and got flung around like a rag doll... when I was a wee young lad of 18. I hit the bull with my free hand drawing a zero score. The equivalent of a disqualification. I did manage to hold on for the 8 seconds. The bull’s name was Mellow Yellow, a Charolais. Later in the day, I switched trousers for no particular reason, and discovered a bruise on the inside of my right thigh the size of a three pound coffee can’s bottom, implanted there by the bull’s hoof. The adrenaline during the ride must of blocked out any feeling of getting stomped while I held on for dear life. Two years later, I took up a much safer sport- skydiving! Blue skies, black death!
Making it 8 seconds is pretty good for a newbie. I just stuck to getting thrown off of horses, because they don’t try to kill you after they unseat you. But I did ride the mechanical bulls.
Not enough money or whiskey in the world to get me to jump off a plane for the heck of it. May be enough fear.
Oh my gosh!!!!
The first thought I had after reading your story was...
Holy Cow!!!
