On Friday, Biden came clean. He told CNN that he wasn’t actually arrested, but that white Afrikaners during the visit tried to separate him from the Congressional Black Caucus.
“When I said ‘arrested,’ I meant I was not able, I was not able to move,” Biden told CNN. “The cops, the Afrikaners, didn’t let me go with them, they made me stay where I was. I wasn’t arrested, I was stopped. I was not able to move where I wanted to go.”

*** On Friday, Biden came clean. ***
Did he come clean about his made-up story about Mandela words while hugging him?
“After he got free and became president, he came to Washington and came to my office,” Mr. Biden said of Mr. Mandela at a black history awards brunch in Las Vegas. “He threw his arms around me and said, ‘I want to say thank you.’ I said, ‘What are you thanking me for, Mr. President?’ He said, ‘You tried to see me. You got arrested trying to see me.’”
I wonder which office ? senate or VP ? it would seem to be better to tell the bigger lie...
