I hit send on my previous post too soon. So do you think politicians push the $15 an hour so they will collect so much more in taxes to pay for their “free” stuff? I know unions do, because a lot of them have dues calculated on a percentage of wages.
I think Bernie pushes for the $15 because he truly believes the capitalistic system is bad. He does not believe anyone (other than him) should be rich & corporations are bad. I think his main reason is to redistribute wealth. Secondarily, it appeals to the people who are not making $15 & he can get their vote by promising them more money. But he is a true believer that capitalism is bad.
