I haven’t learned how to dehydrate yet. I probably need a dehydrator, I’m sure that will help.

I do love canning though. My husband just got done putting up a bunch of shelves for my canning stuff. Better than having them on top of other boxes and on the floor like I did. It was hard to keep track of what was where and how long ago it was canned.

I do love canning though.

I wish an electric canner would come out on the market.

Shelves are the way to go....you have to be able to see what you’ve got, and be able to rotate it out.

One of my fave childhood memories is going out to my Granny’s storage room, lined with shelves, and watching her go through her canned jars, finding just the one she wanted for that stew, or pie.

I bought a new one this year. I didn’t need it as I already had a 9 tray excalibur (20 years old and works great) and 2 much older (35+ years and still work fine) American Harvester’s with 9 or more trays each. The new one has 10 trays and clear glass doors you can see through which is really nice. It is also so much quieter than my other one.
