I quit high school after one month and ended up leaving home a year later, so my formal education ended abruptly. Thankfully, I continued to read.
I like to compose words and sentences, hoping and helping to improve my understanding and use of the English language. I cannot recite the rules, but by sounding out the words and sentences, I decide one way or another if I am correct. I guess it’s comparable to a musician learning how to play an instrument by ear, rather than by traditional music lessons.
