Good morning all Deplorables and Irredeemables in good standing!
I’m enjoying my first cup-o-joe of the morning, basking in the deeply satisfying afterglow of the PHX Trump Rally. What a doozy. It was everything that I thought it would be, and even more than I could ever imagine.
How so?
The 100 year old WW II veteran being carried fireman style by his grandsons (one a Q aficionado and the other a Vietnam veteran) from one section of the arena (the cheap seats) across the floor and over to the VIP section behind the stage, all the while garnering huge cheers from a keenly observant crowd, was really something to see and experience.
Having Donald Trump Jr. acknowledge the WW II centenarian veteran during his impromptu speech, was very much appreciated by the crowd. And getting one of his staff to secure the autograph of President Trump on bright red TRUMP hats, for the gentleman and his grandsons, was met with raucous approval by 14,000 (plus) Trump supporters.
Some in the crowd, no doubt, teary eyed by what they were seeing, mainly owing to the kindness being displayed by two loving grandsons towards their grandfather, and in witnessing a demonstration of lifelong patriotism, by a member of the greatest generation in our nation’s history, who like the rest of us, was attending and participating in one of our fundamental freedoms- to assemble peaceably and participate in free speech and the voting process, made for an unforgettable experience.
That the veteran and his generation bought and paid for our freedoms, by the thousands and thousands with their lives, and with their health (sacrificed) was not lost on THIS crowd. Amen.
And then, if that wasn’t enough, President Trump came out and took it up a magnitude by recognizing the WW II veteran, referring to him by his name, and pointing out that he was likely the most popular person in the news, at that moment, and possibly for a brief period in time, the most popular person on the planet! Of course, in President Trump’s self deprecating style of humor, (he) also pointed out that the veteran was even MORE popular than he, himself was- that... being Trump, (the) President of the United States.
The crowd then went absolutely bonkers over that little bit of Trump coolness.
Man, how I love that orange man in the deepest agape and Philo kind of way!
I’ll probably spend a good portion of the morning completing my rally after-action reports, after first- taking a short break.
There’s no rest for the weary though, as the Trump Train is going to have to undergo a quick outfitting and turn around because we are going to be taking a trip down the rails to Colorado Springs, Colorado, later this afternoon. All ABOARD!
