This is what people who can't afford cruises like to say.
I've had nothing but great experiences on cruise ships. Well except for the one time I had raw fish at midnight buffet and was sick for three days.
I mentioned on earlier thread that this is a good opportunity to get some books read - being held "captive" on a docked cruise ship and all. But these are honeymooners. They will have more sex during these few weeks then they will for the rest of their marriage. I hope they have some fun.
Nope, its definitely far more likely on a cruise ship than other vacations for a number of reasons. I spend $20k a year for my wife and I to travel around the world, so I can assure you its not a thing about affordability. You never hear about these kinds of outbreaks at hotels or resorts for a reason. Cruise ships? Very frequent. Plus, I'd much rather be on land than a tight quarter boat with thousands of people. Of just people I know, one had a bomb threat that had his cruise ship cancelled, 2 were stuck on board for days without electricity with engine failure and 2 had bugs hit more than half the ship. I'll stick with resorts and hotels.
I can afford to go on as many cruises as I want and have been on several. I don't like being cooped up with all those people and being herded around like cattle. If that's your cup of tea, good for you.
That's pretty dang snobberish. I can afford cruises. But I'm not getting locked up with a thousand people and can't leave if I want. Nope. I fly and rent a car if there's something I want to see.
