However, Sanders WAS screwed out of the nomination. His delegate percentages throughout the race were often less than the percentages of his popular votes, and everyone KNEW that the Super Delegates were going to be a lock for Hillary (and they were, 571 to 45), meaning that even if Sanders had earned a majority of the pledged delegates, he’d have lost. The media was essentially owned by Clinton. This HAD to discourage a bunch of potential Sanders voters, especially in the latter half of the primaries (including California). So the screwing had the effect of suppressing his votes (and was, IMHO, clearly intended to do just that).
