They gas mask was meant to decrease the effects of jet lag on that brutal flight from Dallas to Houston.

I worked in the TSA, before it was the TSA (in the 1980s).
A gas mask is definitely not allowed. Impossible to determine if the passenger has terrorist intentions.
Unusual items used to be up to the pilot to allow or deny. I don’t think this is even the pilot’s choice anymore.

People who are freaking out about Coronavirus dont seem to mind the fact that the flu kills far more people, up to 61,000 die every year from flu related complications. My nephew had 104 a month a go, it was very scary, no other symptoms, luckily after a week the fever went away
