I HATE Trump going in there on Tuesday without the acquittal. What I’d like him to do is reschedule so that he removes one source of what the House is going to do to try to humiliate him.

From Senators Barrasso and Blunt
4 or 5 Democratic amendment votes voted on tonight.
No weekend session.
Monday closing arguments on both sides
Senator floor speeches: Monday-Wednesday.
Acquittal vote: Wednesday afternoon.

McConnell and Schumer have a deal on this, per senators

Jay Sekulow making a great point here: he’s going to demand the right to cross-examine all the witnesses who testified in the House (which Democrats did not allow

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Awesome job by Jay

I will grant that to Collins this time - as long as she votes to acquit after voting to have witnesses. After all, by saying she wants to hear witnesses, she’s admitting defacto that the case was not proven and cannot return the equivalent of a guilty verdict.

ON THE FLOOR - Chuck made a parliamentary inquiry to Chief Justice - I missed the end of the exchange ... anybody have details please? ThankQ :)

I think EVERYONE would be surprised at how many hidden Trump supporters there are in Maine

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Maybe the same everywhere ... I hope.
BTW, it's so annoying that the Senate blowhards (including Republicans, apparently) are delaying the final ACQUITTAL until next Wednesday ... for more bloviating.
Well, dad-gum-it. That stinks. (EyeRoll) They should have closing on Saturday-adjust Monday and Tuesday to allow the vote on Tuesday afternoon at the latest. I know we’ll all be glad to see this sham-show shut down ASAP.
that schedule omits the Sunday morning BOMBSHELL by Devlin Barrett or other DS friendly reporter that somebody overheard John Bolton at a deli in DC saying he said that he wanted extra mustard and the ambassador to Ukraine was heard to say that he thought the OMB wanted the aid withheld a day before previously reported.
I’m a little confused on the motion process occurring right now - before Chad Pergram said that the DEMs expected they’d have another round like they did before things got going and all the DEMs were submitting motions that each had 2 hours of House Impeachment clowns bloviating ... but that’s not what’s happening now - they’re on the third vote in rapid succession. Witnesses? Tabled (53-47). Bolton? Tabled (51-49) ... Bolton with deposition before Chief Justice within 5 days? pending ... this might exhaust Chuck of motions pretty quickly. TBD ;)
This is the tree for the Schiff that married Soros' son. Tie any of these ancestors to the Schiff in Congress and you've got the relationship.
and here is the tree for Adam Bennett Schiff, who's ancestors came from Lithuania.
Geni: Adam Schiff family tree
Good luck.
And now for some freaky news:
Harvey Weinstein accuser: Mogul lacks male genitalia
“The first time I saw him fully naked,” she told the court, according to the report. “I thought he was deformed and intersex…He does not have testicles, and it appears that he has a vagina.”
Yes, I am confused too. And my parliamentary procedures knowledge is weak. In some cases, a motion tabled, if not taken from the table before adjournment is dead.
I am not happy that the Pubbies aren’t going to get this over with before the SOTU address. spit.
ON THE FLOOR - Chuck made a parliamentary inquiry to Chief Justice - I missed the end of the exchange ... anybody have details please? ThankQ :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Schumer asked if the Chief Justice Roberts knew that there were tie-breaker votes cast by the Chief in certain questions on the Johnson impeachment (in 1868).

Roberts said "Yes" he was aware, and had decided these "Votes" by the Chief on a couple of minor points ... such as an adjournment, DID NOT constitute a precedent for him to participate in this way.

Then Schumer called ANOTHER vote on Bolton etc. ... which I thought was already dispensed with in the earlier vote today.

Sigh.

#327 sorry if I didn’t express myself properly.
I think as a employee they are required to cooperate in Investigations or risk being fired.

Once the leave, they are free to take the fifth

I believe that was Mark Levin’s belief and it’s actually good that distinction was made and put on the record.

I am far from knowing legal ins and outs; but I assume that quitting will not render her not criminally liable for any crimes committed. She was no angel in Ukraine, and no doubt her previous posts, either.
