On the Chan’s they ran the numbers through a Monte Carlo simulator (10,000 simulations minimum) A few days back and the projection numbers have been pretty consistent.

yes i know but i see people just using current deaths and dividing by the current number of cases.... magically the 855 people in serious or critical condition all will survive I guess....
yes i know many cases will be missed but that is how they figured out the SARS death rate... deaths/KNOWN CASES... and I’m sure they missed many SARS cases too
