That diversity includes all kinds of shapes, colors and lifestyles. It encompasses hermaphroditic fish and a bevy of asexual beings—concepts not foreign to many members of the LGBTQ community and their allies.
Also out in the natural world many species eat their own young. What aspects of nature do you want humans to copy and what do you want to reject?

Indeed. The fallacy here is not only seeking to use the animal world as a model for humans, but treating all species of fish as analogous to mankind, and the two are contradictory. For perverse aberrations within a species can get one killed.
