It does not appear there will be any trial witnesses. The GOP Senate will acquit POTUS and go back to enabling Deep State obstruction and crimes.
Yes it is not of ideal but it is an impeachment and Trump is the target. Trying to turn the focus on to the deep state is a damn risky proposition IMHO.
