What’s her/your plan, going forward?

We are taking it seriously. We're watching the next fourteen day cycle here in the US as well as the situation in China. Her hospital has yet to officially notify staff. She expects it Monday.

We use PPE regularly on international medical work. The most important issue is the level of protection. This is level C and requires much more care and attention.

PPE Classification System from OSHA and EPA

Further, patients shed the virus for indefinite periods. PPE is going to be required for an indeterminate time if there is spread in the US.

We have the supplies and we can shelter in place for and extended period.

For those new to PPE, there is a learning curve for dressing and undressing. There are decontamination and disposal issues too. It is not that easy to learn on the fly. Best to practice now, get into the habit of proper hand washing, and the most difficult thing to learn is not to touch your face.

I'll have more to say as we find out more.

P.S. Get your supplies now before the general awakening. People are very much asleep.
