With 56 million on lockdown in China (that’s about five New York Cities) and Hong Kong shutting down school for two weeks (for now) - I’m guessing that number of 41 is off by a factor of 10 or 100.

That’s my thinking too. The actions China is making are unprecedented.

It is China though. They think much different than we do. They probably think they are controlling panic, thereby controlling their ability to make money.

Where as we would (and are) ignore it until the very last second in an effort to not effect our ability to make money. While on the background, someone is working to actually make money on the worst case scenario.
