My guess is by that point there will be quarantines of at least 14 days for all of those returning. And if you are not a citizen returning, you probably wont be coming at all at that time.
That ship has sailed. We should start seeing evidence in Boston and CA soon if this was the case.
Vegas gets a big bump in traffic from / to China due to the Consumer Electronics Show. This year it officially ended Jan. 10, but the total “wind down” takes longer. All those people in huge convention halls, shuttle buses, flights, entertainment venues, restaurants, thronging the streets...
I think overall attendance may have been down this year, but last year it was over 175,000. Plus there are some family members and so on who’d go along for the trip, but not actually attend the Show.
Heck, when I used to go to CES semi-regularly, I’d catch “something” every other trip or so.
Several of my friends were there this year.
If this virus had popped up a bit earlier, no doubt we’d be hearing of CES related cases, all over, by now.
Baylor Univ. sanitized that student’s dorm room and the hall. Can’t sanitize the whole campus or all the students who lived in that dorm.
