A doctor said you can have the coronavirus for 4-5 days and show no symptoms but still be infectious. It has a membrane that allow it to be active for days on surfaces.

So think of plane loads of infected folks hitting the airports then subways and work for days without knowing. I'm getting worried.

There was a time when I was thinking of writing a story about a manufactured virus that had a decaying membrane that would be released and it would spread silently, but tigger when the membrane finally dissolved. The result would be that it would be everywhere at once...there would be no “patient zero.”

Couldn’t figure out how to make that work. Maybe someone did.
