Rodale, the founder of Prevention Magazine, was on the Dick Cavett Show, and told Cavett that “he [Rodale] would probably live to be 100” because of his diet.
Cavett went on to his next guest, and Rodale had a coronary while sitting there.
That epi or segment never ran. Cavett did do an interview explaining what transpired.

HA! I remember that, but I didn’t know who it was.\
I was watching that show a few days after that unfortunate event and Cavett had some old louche fellow on. It was someone very famous (and very fat, iirc) but I can’t be sure who it was. He kept saying how awful he felt, and how he thought he might drop dead right then and there. And poor Dick Cavett kept saying, please don’t say that, this actually happened here a few days ago!
