Thanks for the link. I am watching Trump’s speech in North Carolina now. The audience is chanting “Four more years”. I hope that Trump tells more stories of real people who succeeded due to an Opportunity Zone. Stories are what people remember. Statistics go in one ear and out the other.
I agree, won’t we always remember the people that the President and 1st Lady invited to the SOTU and their stories?
They all highlighted positions Trump has championed.
He was so relaxed and open Enjoyed the interaction between the crowd and him. Thought it was a small intimate venue until they showed the crowd. WOW YUGE.
Glad you are watching it! I wish the camera would have showed the audience - I think it would have shown many African-Americans in the audience and many young people.
This was at a Community College in Charlotte, NC, which is a liberal enclave and has a heavy AFrican-American populace.
So, it was music to my ears to hear the chants of “Four More Years” from this audience!
The President as usual went down a list of people to thank - including Senator Tillis (with whom the President had some differences early on but these were cleared up according to our President). Missing was Senator Burr! Not so sure about him.
