Just listened to three hours of Rush. He sounded remarkably the same. Confident, energetic, wanting to talk about the country. He talked in great detail about what happened after he arrived up until the time he got the medal. He said there were some things that he couldn’t say and he couldn’t wait until he could.
He did say he wasn’t going to talk about his diagnosis much, that millions of Americans are living with it, and he’s just one more. I kept being amazed that he was the same Rush. I’m not sure why. Somehow my life has changed now and he still sounded the same. He did say that he couldn’t Express well enough how much he appreciated his listeners and all of the well wishes and prayers. That it really meant a lot to him. He must have said that in one way or another at least every half hour.
