Good morning,Jane.
Had to take daughter’s car for a new tire to a local Meineke shop this am.
Needed one tire and they had exactly one tire in her car’s size in stock.
Was in and out in just under an hour.
O happy day!

Glad your tire buying only lasted an hour.
Son needed 2 new tires, after blowing out the sidewall on one, and an oil change.
Went to Wallmart with his dad and were told 6 hours, didn’t went to wait so they went to our mechanic, 6 days later finally heard from mechanic whose price was outragious, so back to Wallmart where they should have had it done in the 1st place.
I didn’t say a thing. LOL

Our family doesn't live in the real world when it comes to having car repairs and tires done. Our family garage have agreements with tire places and now mechanic shops. For many years the shop did mechanic work and it started out in the 1950's with my husbands dad. Then it wasn't to their advantage after several BIL retired so they shut down the mechanic area and added more body shop. Today they are swamped. More young people go into body shop work and they couldn't seem to keep mechanics. Glad you got good service. My BIL sometimes run out of room so he rents space at the tire company area and so on. So they are more than happy to give our large family great service. Its how business is done in small fly over country.
