I know what you mean. I lost my dad in April of 2006, and my mom passed just 5 weeks later. I try to tell my grandkids what it was like when I was a kid and when my parents were young, but i dont know how much they retain. My only sibling, my sister, passed in 2015. I have a family photo by my bed, i was around 3. I look at it and think I'm the only one left. But, I have children and grandchildren as does my sister. Our parents were blessed with long lives and the opportunity to see their kids be adults. I couldn't even listen to Patsy Cline for a couple of years after my dad passed. Time makes it easier. 💕

We were lucky in that our parents talked about “the way things used to be” often enough that we had some idea how things have changed. It was a simpler time with far better values than today. God Bless.
