Early spring crops that do best in cool temperatures are cabbage, kale, spinach, some lettuce, broccoli , Brussel sprouts.
You may want to start seeds inside or buy plants. But none of the above like the heat. I plant garlic in late fall or early spring and harvest it with summer onions.
