It right behind the Home Depot across the street from Walmart. Easy access. Jackson county has the baby box. Bartholomew (Columbus) refused to have one. It hasn’t come up in Scott or Jennings, So the baby’s mother could just be from any of the areas.

The fire station is another story. When HD bought the land they gave a partial to the city with a new fire truck if they would build the station. Local contractors provided the labor and all material was donated. The only thing Seymour had to do was the paperwork.
It’s just a mile or so from interstate and used for many accidents When building they designed for garage space for other emergency vehicles.
Such a blessing to our county.

Interesting...our son was born in Bartholomew county and we adopted him through the welfare department. Shame the county won't wake up to the need. Apparently there are several Lutherans who live there and what better place to have a box for new babies. Thanks for sharing the history behind the land.
