1h American citizens are being evecuated from Wuhan onboard a Kalitta Air Boeing 747.

The Kalitta Boeing 747 is a cargo aircraft equipped with pallet seat for this mission.

The seats are attached to a pallet.

With a 747 cargo ?

It was one of those passenger to freighter conversion planes. I'm guessing they just need seats?

Unless it’s a certified Combi once the conversion is done it dosn not get pax again.... no galleys no seat tracks on floor no windows no overhead bins.

Now it would appear that Kalitta has approval for pallet seats and that is what they have in this case, so under *normal* circumstances once a pax plane becomes a freighter it doesn’t see passenger service again
