This is an unfortunate twist for Rep Nadler. It may mean he’s out of the impeachment trial for good:
Chad Pergram (Fox News) reports just now:
Nadler announces his wife has pancreatic cancer. “On Monday, I will be in New York with her to meet with doctors, determine a path forward, and begin her treatment. I am sorry to miss some of the Senate Impeachment Trial, which is of critical importance to our democracy.”
I find it very odd to have several with pancreatic cancer, which I thought is quite rare - and they’re all democrats too:

I was thinking more about dem politicians. It just seems odd to have so many. I do have sympathy for all who suffer that dread kind of cancer, and their families. Pancreatic cancer used to give them only 3 months to live, but new treatments have extended that i.e RBG.
Alex Trebec, beloved game show host, is an independent voter, according to wiki, but I had forgotten he’s also suffering with that cancer. I think he’s a good guy overall.

I don’t know, or is it a ruse for sympathy? I guess God will have to judge that.
I’m surprised there wouldn’t be more cancer cases in NY from that time. Incredible air contamination from 9/11 that would hit the whole city. Good thing that no-one in the Trump family got affected but it’s very tragic for all those who were, especially first responders.
We have a REPUBLIC, not a "democracy." The Dems behavior in the House demonstrates why we do not want to be a democracy. A majority of one can mean that there are no rights for the minority. Our framers saved us from this in most instances.
The woman told a detective that she consented to going to Bryant’s room and kissing him, but that he then began to grope her against her wishes, putting his hands around her neck and then raping her.
These women go to sport star’s rooms, and then cry rape afterwards. Do they think the guy is going to fall in love with them, or play them to shut up, or what? I’m sorry, even if the woman didn’t (dumb enough) know a consensual kiss would go to a wham, bam, thank you mama so fast, they shouldn’t have put themselves in that predicament.
I know they teach women now that they can say no at any time during the encounter, and guys should even ask permission for each thing, but it doesn’t work that way. I was taught not to get myself in a bad situation to begin with.

I wasn’t really familiar with Kobe Bryant. I looked up who he was and thought how nice to see a basketball player with a nice wife and family.....didn’t know about any of the other “stuff”. Sorry to find it out.
