Be careful there, Rep. Gabbard. There is a saying. What you subsidize you will get more of. I propose a related saying. What you legalize you will get more of.
As for me, I prefer the Singapore approach.

I've been there. The place is spotless. Their street food has to be one of the BEST around. No one gets sick...otherwise they would be out of business in a New York minute.
