Shocking...i saw Rush in 1977 when a band named AC/DC with a lead singer named Bon Scott warmed them up..always admired his drumming...his politics was another thing altogether..

Yeah, he started out on the right but drifted to the left as he got older. He was a cranky guy. I’d say he’s now reunited with his daughter and wife, but then I consider his staunch atheism.

Had some friends in college that went up to Montreal to see Aerosmith.

Rush was the warm up, and they told that when the drummer, I’m assuming it was Peart, opened the set, the arena went silent.

Rush out-shined Aerosmith that night, and were replaced soon after for the rest of Aerosmith’s tour.
