I dont think SSRI are the same as benzodiazepines. The act differently on the brain. benzodiazepines Are like Valium or Xanax. SSRI are different group targeting different brain mechanisms.

SSRIs are NOT benzodiazepines! Entirely different class of meds, though some SSRIs are used to treat anxiety.
Sorry, that’s incorrect. Selective Serotinin Reuptake Inhibitor. EG: Prozac, zoloft, paxil, celexa, etc.
Note, maybe there’s some confusion here? SSRI, SNRI, 2 different types of drug.
