I've been suspicious of Gaetz since he defended Katie Hill:

I figure he's got something to hide with his staffers or he wouldn't step out like that. Though he might have misjudged his popularity to think we'll give him a pass on turning on POTUS.

Agree!

IMHO Gaetz's verbose and empathetic defense of Katie Hill was way over the top considering the undeniable photographic evidence of her transgressions and her subsequent lying abiout it.

He went unnecessarily far, far beyond a simple statement of concern or support for a friend or peer caught doing wrong and lying about it.

To me it immediately;y created suspicions of a possible similar relationship or hidden guilt for other wrongdoing on his part.

I may be way off base on my suspicions bu that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

That was a bazaar move on Gaetz’s part, thought it was weird at the time too.

I thought maybe I don’t know all the parts of this story.

. This statement exemplifies what Rush (?) was saying yesterday. He said that politicians and bureaucrats are all about process, not caring about results, often do not even want to solve problems. Trump is all about results. That Matt Gaetz could praise someone with whom he disagrees on substance just because she is “well-prepared, focused and thoughtful” is really discouraging. Is he saying that, even though she is wrong about her positions, at least she doesn’t show up in the House ready to party?

I am so disappointed in Matt Gaetz. Have we ever heard a Dem praise a Republican like this?
