I've heard that theory too. However, I find it hard to believe that somebody will now vote for Collins & others since they were "fair enough" to send them to the Senate but will vote to acquit. Could be though - what do I know?

Seems to me that they would loose an equal amount or more voters who didn't want a trial & see these RINOS as not supporting Trump.

Collins voted for Kavanaugh. I don’t know if she’s been up for reelection since then. I wish politicians would stick to their principles instead of worrying about reelection. I wish my jar of pennies were dollars too.
