Good morning, Dolly.
PTL that it wasn’t your time to check out of our mortal life.
And especially thankful you are feeling better.
My hubby is so frustrated because they haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause of his health problems.
It seems all they can do is run test after test to rule out what it isn’t.
He is still refusing to go back to Heart Institute where they want to look into possible pulmonary issues.
I am so thankful it isn’t his heart.
And until we get over our colds we aren’t going anywhere.
I hope to talk to our family doctor as hubby will listen to him.
You take care and continue your good cooking.
Where have the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats gone when they have spent the last 3 days defending the life of Qassem Soleimani, one of the worst terrorists in history and the father of the roadside bomb? He was also looking to do big future damage! Dems are unhinged.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 11, 2020
Ah your hubby frustration over NOT finding any definitive answers yet is understandable... but all too common.
My friend Paul NEVER got sick until after 70 NEVER. Never even had a headache. Taught 47 years and missed 3 days (due to travel from his dads in Canada and getting stuck with the lake effect snow coming home) never illness or a cold even
Then all hell broke loose, everything from allergies to serious lung issues (non smoker) to about half a dozen serious symptoms that the docs just couldn’t figure out. Now he is in mid 90s. Bachelor and not the best diet for all his life but a dear man.
My mom and two aunts - both older were my charge to take to Cleveland Clinic. Same with them I HATED beyond hate those trips. Loved my aunts but the commute was 1.5 hrs each way. Expensive in convenient parking. LOTS of walking. Long whats in office... and in most cases NO RESOLUTION of issue. Just throw some medicine at it and hope it might work . Usually did not
I miss the mentality of the general KNOWELEGEABLE general practioner. A holistic approach. Now all is farmed out to specialists .. mostly to eliminate .. some times diagnosis the big issues.
That is what I love about my chiropractor (most dont know but in most states - for sure Ohio, they MUST take the MD state boards as well as their chiropractic counter parts. He has helped me more than any docs. They should not be treating things outside their realm but often do.. (BAD). But they can give guidance as they work from a holistic viewpoint. I was told I needed bilateral carpal tunnel surgery by locals. My cousin (an orthopod in NC) suggested I ask my chiro to check it out. He did and in a few weeks I was symptom free. Same with back issues, Neck. My friends go to their MDs and are thrown a multitude of meds to cover/handle the pain - NOT correct the physical issue causing the problem and symptoms. My chiro corrects these. No meds needed. I have several serious back issues that I have had since a teen. No surgical correction on them. MY brother had the same issues and did have surgery. He was given a back rod. Which slipped and had to be corrected. His pain is now worse than prior surgery and the rod has compromised his ability to have good chiropractic care
I have had 7 sprained ankles. Never fun. I am a very active person physically(well was), a PE teacher and a klutz. If you have ever had one, you KNOW. 8 weeks of severe pain. My last one I had slipped on ice a few years ago. threw out my back. Called the chiro office and jokingly asked .. hey after he fixes my back what can he do for my ankle. Expected a laugh. the receiptionist asked when it happened. II said half hour ago. She said get right in.
I did. Actually crawled into the office it was so severe. Very typical sprain look but huge. If you have had a bad one you know what I mean.
He is NOT into ICE. Heat and traction. that is why an athlete can have an severe ankle injury early in game and by the end can play again.
I walked out of the office a few hours later with just a tinge of pain. Came back the next two consecutive days for same treatment and was completely pain free afterward.
I will defend my ethical and competent chiropractor to anyone.
