My grandfather planted that scourge all over our farm property at the advice of the DNR. His later opinion of what they could do with it is unprintable. Crossbow herbicide works wonders on it, sumac, and poison ivy. No harm to grass.

Same here. State paid to plant it for wildlife but DNR didn't seem to understand how it spreads underground. The supervisors sent us a certified letter that we had to remove it from our 112 acre farm. I drove past the supervisors’ homes and saw it everywhere. I told them when they removed theirs, I'd remove mine. 15 years later, for a brief period in June, we still enjoy the smell and beauty of roses...brief period, lol.
